Humble Beginning

This is an inspiring story of a man named Nilo, whose hardwork and perseverance made him reach his dreams.

The eldest of five children, Nilo became the breadwinner of the family when his father died. To earn money, he sold fish in the market early in the morning, then drove a tricycle at night. In between, he went to school.

He wanted to earn more so he can help his family better; so, he went to Manila and did a number of jobs – dishwasher, “kargador” or porter, baker, janitor etc.

Even when he was working, he made an effort to become a licensed real estate broker.

One day, he was asked to give out leaflets of Vista Land projects. Unknowingly, he was able to hand out a leaflet to Ms. Elaine Cuneta, former singer and beauty queen, mother of mega-star Sharon Cuneta and wife of former Pasay City Mayor Cuneta. As it turned out, Ms. Elaine Cuneta became his first buyer.

Watch the rest of the story here as Nilo narrates how good training and an ounce of patience, hard work, perseverance and strong resolve made his dreams come true.
